Why a website?

After several different attempts to document things, I eventually landed on creating a website of my own instead. The idea is to collect things like this in one place so I can come back and read them again once I have forgotten how they worked. And I definitely will.

So the site is really for the kind of things that otherwise disappear into notes, terminal history, and half-finished drafts.

Even if the site is mainly for my own sake, it is nice if someone else can get something useful out of it too.
